I have been in real estate my whole life.  My Dad was a real estate agent his entire career, and I helped him very early on with sales and leasing.  So, that is why I say I have been in real estate my whole life.  I started my real estate career in a suburb of Chicago just a few years after graduating from College with a bachelor’s degree in Business, majoring in marketing.  I worked for one of Chicagoland’s big production builders in sales.  The builder offered me excellent sales training and educated me on the building process and all the components that go into building a home. After eight years in new home sales, I knew I wanted to go out on my own.  In my first year selling in the residential resale market, I become Rookie of the Year for all of RE/MAX in Northern Illinois, out of about 64,000 real estate agents.  In 2006, The real estate market crashed in the lower 48; some of my wife’s family had moved to Anchorage years earlier, and after spending 18 years selling real estate in Illinois, my family decided if we were ever going to move to Alaska, it was the right time to make that move.  I had built a real estate business that had become a business that was over 90% referral based each year which was a great honor to me and a little unusual to have that high of a referral-based Business.  I started my real estate career here in Alaska about 12 years ago, working for 2 of the top-selling real estate teams in the state, which was another excellent learning experience.  I understand the value of your hard-earned money and the importance of providing excellent service.  I aim to become your trusted real estate agent, not the top-selling agent focused on unit sales, but one you would not hesitate to refer to your friends and family.  My number one goal is to earn your referrals.  I don’t want you to feel like you were just another unit sale for an agent you barely spoke with and who passed you from one person to another during the transaction.  I have been fortunate to be allowed to assist hundreds of families with their real estate needs.  I am passionate about real estate.  I will give you the best advice, a great real estate experience at an exceptional value.
